My new crate featuring YakAttack products!

Well, being sick has kept me off of the water, but not from tinkering! I decided to build yet another crate. I wanted the ability to take 3 rods when I go out, yet have the ability to take 4-5 rods out if necessary, like for future tournaments. I wanted a crate that was versatile. I also included links to the items used in creating it!

First I had to find a new crate laying on the side of the road. :? I first installed a 3 rod holder on the back with industrial zip ties:

I then purchased 2 Mighty Mounts Systems, and 2 - 8" Gear Tracs from HOOK1. You can also see the red pouch which contains my paddle leash from NRS:

I then install my VISICarbon Pro in one Scotty Mount, and a Pan-Fish and Dog Bone in the other. I use the 12" Dog Bone to bring my recorder within easy reach. You can also see the fishpond PIOPOD for small trash, hooks, etc. I also installed a cup holder on the inside of my crate, and bungee to keep my binder standing upright:

I then zip tied my StowMate to the front for smaller items:

And, when I want to take more rods and do not wish to record my outings, I simply put my VISICarbon Pro in the middle rod holder, then I add two Scotty Power Locks with Extensions to the Mighty Mounts:

and that is my new crate!

Looks good. There's just one problem with it... it's too dang clean. Get well soon and go get some slime on that new crate.
I think I might have to use your cup holder idea.
