Keystone

Unread postby RedFishJax » Mon Apr 02, 2012 1:04 pm

Did a little shoreline fishing at our lake house in Keystone. The lakes are really drying up down there, but still have some nice quality bass. I managed to catch 4 or 5 in about 30 minutes, and then called it a day. Here's the biggest of the day.

Way to go! Nice Bass!

I am in Orlando this week staying at a resort and tried my luck in the all the ponds around here. Saw a few big ones but they did not bite. :( Glad to see your luck is better than mine. Oh well was better than being at work.

I should say, that I caught the one's I caught in about 30 minutes...but I was out there for about 2 hours. I had to switch to about 6 different colors before I could get them to bite. That Chicken on a Chain is something else though. They were all landed on coc paddle tails, and the one in the pic was on a coc jerk shad.

Not many soft plastics cover so many colors in one bait. Dark, light, glitter and Chartruce all wrapped in to one.

Try the Texas Roach color. Similar to COC, but darker. The Texas Roach is always in stock, at least until people catch onto them.

Thanks...I'll give that a try.
Fished the same small lake this past weekend and missed 2 nice ones. Caught about 10 in all, but it was hard with all the wind. Tried the kayak out a little, but forgot my anchor/SOP, so it was a struggle. May be back down there next weekend.

Nice bass...I have always had luck with a watermelon red flake in many different water color situations.
