WTG! Great first catches!
Be careful on Guana Lake. We're getting into hunting season. Personally, I'll be staying away from there for awhile. There are plenty of other great places to kayak fish around here. If you need advice on places to go, the folks on this website have been to them all and will gladly assist. Feel free to PM me anytime.

Thank you Yakgroupie and Mudfish. Guana is closed after Nov 3 right? I was going to go out tomorrow morning, but may try around Oak Harbor instead. Everyone is posting about this huge flounder run right now. Id like to pull a few myself...

Oak Harbor is a nice yak fishing place. I believe you are right on the Guana dates.

I believe the sign in the lake states that the northern half of the lake is closed from November 10th until about February 10th due to hunting. I was out there a couple of weeks ago, about 3 miles south of SML, and I heard them shooting... loud and clear.
There are flounder up in the creeks right now. I've been catching them just about every weekend from Simpson Creek down to Flagler. Try bouncing Gulps off the bottom. You'll find the flounder in the same spots you usually find reds. I had a really good day on Sunday. It was very windy, but the fish were hungry and I had the whole place to myself.

Congrats on the nice Red! Do you usually fish the week days?
Jimmy, you had the whole place to yourself because the weather wasn't nice. I was at the zoo, but I'm sure your family told you they saw me there.

Thanks all! Pirate- Mostly weekdays thus far. I just got my kayak three or four weeks ago. Only had it out a handful of times.
